Coral stocking

I have a 13.5 gallon reef tank. It has 2 torches as of now. Only one arch rock. I’m doing a Minimalistic setup. Torches are on sandbed, looking for some corals for the rock. I’m open to trying some sps. But mainly stick with LPS. I don’t want frogspawns or hammers as they are more finicky in my experience. Any ideas hobbyists?

What kind of look are you interested in?

Duncans are classic imo but for crusting corals, favia/favites, leptoseris, leptastrea all have really cool looking variations imo

+1 to the above but use caution with the Leptos and they can be aggressive.

Montipora Spongodes or something like a bubblegum montipora are great relatively easy SPS corals to grow.

Candy cane corals are really nice as well, I prefer the kryptonite candy cane.

Duncans are a classic that work well in any tank.

You are going to run into lots of aggression from those torches. I thinknthe above suggestions for lepto and branching monti are solid for sps, that will grow fast enough to be able to recover if the torches get ahold of it.

I’ll be posting a current picture of my tank, placement tips for the corals would be advised. I may try one sps, and a candy cane.

Candy canes will be good too. A few varieties of zoa would look really cool with the torches and can fill in the rock too, if you want that color pop. Flower pot corals would be good on the sandbed, acans or similar too, and theyd stay mostly under the torches and should be pretty safe.

This is a photo of the tank, where would the best place for sps / LPs? Sandbed is dedicated for torches are future acans.

Lepto on the left side, that little ledge.

Duncan on the crest right above it. Glue it to the rock poking out instead of up if you can.

You're still going to probably want more rock than that.

Late to the party, but there are some great suggestions! I also think that more rock will be beneficial. You don't have to make tall aquascapes, just place some random rocks on the sand bed. Good place for zoas, favia, acans, mushrooms, lots of stuff!
As far as SPS, any of the pocillopora, stylopora or digitata will work well in moderate light. Even lower light SPS like Valida
