Hello, I have a green leather toadstool and a Kenya tree that has not been opening for about a month already. I have not changed placement on either of them, they seemed to stop opening after a water change. I have a 40 breeder mixed feed, all parameters are normal. Any guidance anyone can give?

How long did you have them before they closed up? What do you mean by “normal” parameters? I know some corals especially appreciate heavier organics in the water.
Salinity:1.026
Ammonia: 0
Phosphate: 0.3
Nitrate: 0.4

Had them about 5 months and were originally thriving and growing frequently

Nitrate is a bit low, was it higher before? Any other recent changes of any kind with flow, lighting, supplements, equipment etc.

No it’s the weirdest thing, no types of changes other than a water change which I’ve done numerous times before with no issue.

Feed more or dose amino acids. The nitrate is basically 0 which means the corals may be starving.

Also, are those just soft corals or stony ones too? If so, you need an alkalinity and calcium test kit.
