Critter ID please...nudi?

Found this crawling up the front glass just before I cleaned it. Gently pushed it off the glass, hope it is harmless. Have seen only one and no damage to coral that I can see...

It was white/tan color with one or two black spots on the front end (at least the end that was pointing up)

Found a pic that indicated it might be a Berghia nudi...aptasia killer! Think I will leave it alone, maybe it will go after my probable manjano anems. Thanks gang!

could be a berghia, if it is they strictly eat aptasia, so if youre done with it try to give it to another local reefer that may need it, if it does indeed turn out to be berghia

looks like it's some sort of nudi :) that is my vote. I found one on a birds nest I got from the LFS. I flushed it...

will look for it again, but chances of seeing it again are slim...it might have been 1/4" long. Thanks!

I wouldn't take a chance on the species. If it's a nudi, get it out. Better safe than sorry...

that is a nudi. What kind of corals do you have? i'd start with zoa's, do you have any? if so take them out and inspect them both for nudi's and eggs which will be at the base of stalk or on the rock below. they are sticky and don't come off easy and dips do not work on them.

yep several zoas and palys, leathers, shrooms, xenia. Will look things over when I get home this weekend. Thanks gang!

Defineately looks like a nudi.
But hard to say if it a good one or a bad one.
A better picture would help.

Ditto to this. Could be a aiptasia killer or could be a zoa eater...definitely need to monitor what it does!!

I wouldn't take a chance on the species. If it's a nudi, get it out. Better safe than sorry...

+1 if you didn't put it in then get it out if you can. They all have a specific diet.

There are many nudi's out there look similar to Berghia nudi. I wouldn't take the change to let it hang around in your tank. If you don't wanna kill it right away, remove it from your tank store it separately. so you can take better photos for ID. If it's a good one, you can throw him back.

All zoas look fine. Nothing seems to be remiss since or before this critter showed up.

LOL, If i'm looking for something neat, I don't find it. I find neat things when I just glance over and....there it is! Have found a new bi-valve of some sort this past weekend as well, but impossible to get a photo of it at this point. Only reason I found it is that I saw it close. Just keep watching and soon enough, you'll see something new....I have also been kown to pull up a chair and just sit and watch the tank for an hour or so. That's another time I find new things I did not buy!

Finding it again will be a small miracle. Will keep an eye on things and if something starts to look different or bad, will go on the hunt.

better photo will require a small miracle. No telling how long it has been in the tank, and no telling when I will see it again, if ever. If I do see it again, will work on getting a better photo.
