I have a pair of Current IC PRO LEDs on my 75 gallon tank. Does anyone have experience with these lights and coral? I am new to the world of corals and don't want to purchase any if they don't have a chance under these lights.

Thanks,
Jay

My dad has a pair on his 75. They grow soft corals and lps just fine. SPS need to placed at the top of your scape.

Agreed with above. I’ve been running them for a little over a year now. Good for LPS, SPS is a coun flip, although I have had some do well. Growth is much slower than you would get with kessils or radions. My daytime settings are blue, red, green all at 90%. White at 55%. A few pics w/iphone under daytime light.

Great looking tank. I need to play with the settings on the lights. Are they easy to program?

Hi all I too have the current marine pro unit on a 75 gal, I would like to know what are the settings and times you have set for your corals to succeed and look great under this lighting. I have the light bars set at 6.5” above the tank, and running it’s the loop Bluetooth application.

No the best light for corals but it will do ok for soft corals and lower light lps corals. Imo some black box leds would be leaps and bounds better for growing all corals even sps and a lot cheaper.

I did the MQ510 par meter rental from BRS.

My current settings(daylight)
Blue: 100
Red: 10
Green: 50
White: 60

Sunrise/sunset
Blue:80
Red: 10
Green: 20
White: 0

On time: 12p
Off time: 11p

Lights are about 3" above the waterline(2"above the tank). Tank height is 18". I have a 55gal.

At the highest points(6" below the surface, I got readings up to 220par. Sand bed is just about 100-110. About 50-70 on the edges. Light coverage/par is pretty consistent throughout, mostly a matter of the depth. Though I would say I wish it had more blue spectrum, I'm actually pretty impressed for such a 'low wattage' light.

I don't have much, but I have a Garf bonsai, green birdsnest, purple stylophora up top. WWC bizarro cyphastrea, rainbow monti, some leptastrea, n Psammacora mid level. Acans, zoas, fungia, favia, favites, leptos on the bed. A few toadstools, hammer n torch at the sides. All doing extremely well so far. All have excellent color.

Here's a pic under sunset. Daylight isn't as nice to look at since the blue isn't as strong, but it really does have a 'natural/balanced' daylight appearance, for lack of a better term.

Looks good I’m wondering if I should lower my light height and add some more live rock to raise some areas this way I can get some string par levels where needed for sps, I currently have softies and lps

I currently have a single current IC 48 inch light on my 75 gallon. The Bluetooth app is very user friendly and easy to adjust light settings

Awesome, thanks for par levels. I've been searching for a while for a good estimation for my tank. So now i need to lower my light and get more rock.

My display is a 24" deep 45 gal, so my bottom will be darker, but was mainly looking as to find my light and rock levels.

Nice! Curious to know how high do you have your height for the lights above the tank and do you have moon light setting as well?

3" above the actual waterline(2" above the actual tank. No moonlight, though sometimes I'll turn the blue on to 5 when I'm up late. Lol
