Honestly I️ have the same current lights. I️ have grown torch and bubble corals and other lps with them at 18in deep. You can always build up rock and make them closer to the surface.

I have rock built up. Worried about corals at bottom. 18 inch tank, lights at 7 inches above

@Bayareareefer18 I might do the same at some point. I even have the wider mounts so could extend if needed. How high are yours? At the 3inch? I smiled at your egg crate. We just replaced ours for the mesh from brs. You do know you can pull out the legs and just store them else where, right? I assume you are in the san francisco bay area? Would love to find a local club
I have might at the lowest setting so yes I do believe 3"

Was a breeze mounting the Orphek. Just picked up some stainless screws, washers and wing nuts. Very happy with the build quality of the light and the UV spectrum hives a great effect. Can't wait to see then tank when it actually has some color in it lol.

Yep SF bay area. You as well?

Oh and yes pulled the legs after the photos lol. I left one on the back right light to help with cord management.
