Okay so my redsea kit came in and I can now track all three instead of just ammonia. The ammonia one is confusing with the red sea not sure how to use the table...
Temp 77.0
Ph 7.8
Ammonia 2.0ppm? Api was showing 1.0ppm
Nitrite sky high darker than 1ppm
Nitrate 20ppm

What's confusing you about the table? Take the cap off and look down and move it between the two white circles until you find the color that matches the closest. You're waiting for yellow (0).

Don't bother checking nitrates until your nitrites are zero. For the most part you are disregard nitrites too as they are non-toxic in reef setups. Just monitor your ammonia and once you can process .5 ppm in a day do a large water change.

That's the thing. I ghost fed 10 days ago let it decompose for a day to spike ammonia. Pulled the detritus out and have been sitting at the same ammonia since. Lol never moves. Was reading on another thing that since nitrates are as high as they are do a large water change and recheck ammonia.
What's confusing on the ammonia is the table says you match the ph to the temp and use that table to tell you where your actual ammonia is... I assume I just ignore that and wait for 0 on that.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
