Cutting the skeleton of Lps

I just recieved some blasto, and duncan (single head), the skeleton is too high, it is about 2 inches, can I cut it down with a dremel tool? Any ideas?

A coral saw or band saw would be ideal and if you have ones with big enough jaws you could use bone cutters or dykes. With the dremel I would be afraid of making too much heat and harming the coral.

I have one dykes I think it is big enough to cut it, But I’m worried that the dykes might break the whole skeleton into small peice when comparing to a clean cut from a saw or dremel

Buy a diamond wheel for that dremel tool dykes will crush the skeleton not cut it. From my experience even with a fiber wheel on the dremel I dont see it making that much heat.

A dremel with a diamond wheel worked for me, if you are worried about heat get a container of tank water and cut a little bit then dip in the water to cool it off.
