Cutting up a torch

Just got this torch. Giving it a few days before finding a good spot for it. The stem is quite long/large compared to the rest, how much shorter can I safely cut it?

it doesn't look awkwardly long to me, I'd leave it alone if I were you

Careful cutting torch with bone cutters if that’s your plan. They have a tendency to split right up the center
