Cynarina skeleton looks weird, Worms?

Could be tubeworms or vermatids, but we can't really tell with these pics. Shut off the lights and try a flashlight?

Harmless. Google sea squirts. Some are beautiful. The ones that you have look like some that I’ve had show up in zoa colonies. They’re just filter feeders.

Just a note: if they are tunicates, exposure to air will likely kill them.

I had some growing in a pico tank and I had to move a zoa rock. After I had exposed the rock to air briefly, the tunicates unfortunately died shortly after.
