Dennis, are you spot feeding the basket star, or is it staying alive solely by virtue of whatever else you are doing for feeding the tank?
I don't spot feed anything in the tank, just broadcast feeding.

Here's another cell pic i took just the other morning before the lights came on. :)

If anybody could accomplish this it is Dennis. Basket stars are notoriously short lived creatures as the usually starve to death in reef tanks. To keep one a year and have it prosper...is truly a feat, but knowing Dennis and his skills, does not surprise me!

Truly amazing what he has done with all the "Packages" I have sent him over the years.. real live rock, live sand and healthy critters..Kudos!

If anybody could accomplish this it is Dennis. Basket stars are notoriously short lived creatures as the usually starve to death in reef tanks. To keep one a year and have it prosper...is truly a feat, but knowing Dennis and his skills, does not surprise me!

Reef Frenzy and Rod's Food daily. He's usually not open at this time though.
And then every few days i like to throw in some sort of Reef Chili or similar if I remember.
