I've just received a shipment of CUC and noticed that most of Astraea Snails have dark-brown bumps growing on the shells. What type of hitchhikers are those? Should I put the them into my DT?

So, should I just discard the Astraeas?
No not at all. Vermetid can irritate Corals with the mucus string the release when feeding, but other than that they're harmless. I say let them be.

Crunch them off with needle nose pliers then paint the shell with hydrogen peroxide. Worked for me. I let them be and they reproduced in my tank like crazy.
