I can see what they mean about patients. I think everything is ok. Salinity 1.025 temperature steady at 79 degrees ph 8.2 ammonia 0 nitrite 1+ nitrate I would say about 30. That’s down from 50 my last two test. I test every other day using Red Sea test kit. I removed the dead shrimp last week and I’m phantom feeding every morning with a small amount of ciclid pellets crushed up. I’m getting my quarantine tank set up and ready. Hope I’m doing everything right. I love this form. Thanks for all the help and information. Merry Christmas to all.

Can you tell us a bit about your QT setup? Merry Christmas :)

I bought a ten gallon tank. Painting the back and sides flat black. I saw on YouTube a video on a DYI sponge filter I’m going to make. I bought a heater going to keep it simple. I want to quarantine my clean up crew just to be safe. I’ve heard sixteen days should be enough. I’m on a budget so trying to be careful. I haven’t had anything growing yet in my display tank yet so I’m holding off on crew so they won’t starve. Thanks for your post.

Consider going 76 days to make sure to starve out Ich. Been practicing the 76 day method for all of my inverts and corals. Don't want some parasites in my DT. It's taken so long to get it healthy. Dont' want to take a chance of a problem now.
