Day 4 and silicone still smells like vinegar?

4 days ago, I modded an aquaclear to a refugium.

I used Aqueon Aquarium Silicone. Package says 48 hours and it's safe to use.
My understanding it needs time to cure, and once it stops smelling like vinegar its OK.

but 4 days seems like a long time. Should I wait longer until the smell is gone? or is it OK?

I didn't use a lot of silicone, just enough to hold the pieces in place.

when i resealed my 120g it lasted for 6-7 days. Try to put a fan on it and it should help with air movement.

Curing rtv can be sped up with heat and humidity

If the tank is outside now move it inside
