You don’t have to buy 2. Yup, came out very far ahead. ~$17k in savings looking at my spreadsheet had i gone direct on everything.

Ill be adding salt and starting the cycle tomorrow. Connecting the filter roller was painful (3d printed some fittings), ill be bypassing it during cycling but water runs through it smoothly.

I haven’t plumbed in the UV quite yet.

Picked up the new DMP-40 pumps for $150 each shipped. They feel a little bigger than my mp40s

I'm loving my DMP so far. Just 3 weeks in though

I'm curious about these DMP pumps. How loud are they and how durable? I know you probably can't answer that yet but maybe someone else can chime in? I've had several other jebao products so I know they push water well.

There is a HUGE thread about em. I purchased a dmp10 and it is practically silent as long as you align it. It makes some noise at the higher percentage.

I did a video on it and have a thread here. It's as quiet if not quieter than my mp40. Def worth it

Some updates

After months of cycling both tanks are up and running. Fish are healthy and eating well.

The 340 has a tomini, hippo, and purple scopas tang. Plus a damsel and clown. The frag has a valentini, pajama, foxface and a small harem of clowns. API tests look fantastic with the exception of some elevated trace elements I believe are coming from the frozen food I feed. Making some changes and running it back.

looking good. love the one piece eurobrace. quick question, are the vertical seams armored seams? do they have glass triangular strips on the seams to protect them from algae scrapers and supposedly strengthen the seam.

I don’t believe the seams are armored. I don’t see a strip of glass on the inside. Super robust and thick seams though.
