Well I do know that they are too small for a crab boil and they do not look appealing to have in a tank or to eat ;)
Have you noticed any tubes on your other trachs ??
I think I would remove them from the tank and give a good look under, over and around the others for any signs of a tube.
This stinks man that was a nice one for sure.

Referring to the bottom picture you posted with the crab on top of the flesh of the coral it appears that the crab is eating away at the tissue and causing some damage. The area around the crab looks like white stringy guts/ filaments/ curly tentacles.
Was this that I am describing / seeing in the picture something caused by that crab ??

Nope that was my meat coral getting ready to eat it ,there was 3 in the coral.
For some reason 2 died and the coral some how pushed them up out of their hole ...which is what you can see in the pic
That crab I took off of the coral for pics but the first to die was eaten
I'll get a pic of the hole the last crab still lives in
