I changed my routine to putting filter floss in the sump baffles when doing a WC. I like to stir and siphon my sand to release any detritus stored in there. The sand looks great. WHITE! The floss was packed a bit tight and made my ATO go off to the tune of about a gallon of water saturated with kalk. Dkh went from 9.6 to 10.

what do you guys think did them in? Nutrient release or alk swing?

oh yeah it looks like there are about 8 of em on top of the sand . They haven't moved since last night.
