I changed my routine to putting filter floss in the sump baffles when doing a WC. I like to stir and siphon my sand to release any detritus stored in there. The sand looks great. WHITE! The floss was packed a bit tight and made my ATO go off to the tune of about a gallon of water saturated with kalk. Dkh went from 9.6 to 10.

what do you guys think did them in? Nutrient release or alk swing?
