I'm not sure if this will pose a threat or not but I have a fluval 13.5 gallon tank that has been up and running strong for almost a year. One of my astrea snails died on the rock work for no reason (snails do that I suppose) but I assumed it was maybe still alive so I sat it upright and waited another day.

Next day, the snail fell out into a hole in the rock work. I couldn't find the snail body as the shell was completely empty. I looked and I found it in deep in a hole in the rocks. I tried to get it out with a paper clip but only got it deeper in.. I can't see it anymore. Will it affect my tank? It is a medium sized astrea and the snail its self was maybe no bigger than half my pinky nail. No CUC can reach it
