Welcome folks, this is my IM 25g Lagoon build.

A few notes for today....

Going to start moving some of the LPS over today. Going slow, hardiest first. Nero 3 also coming over from the nem cube.

Right now, my female clown is in this tank due to a nasty divorce. You can see the thread here.

Tonight's job is to crush up some LR and sprinkle it on the front to provide a bed for the mushrooms.

Toadstool hasn't opened in a few days. Hoping it's just being a leather, maybe shedding? Not much I can do, just going to keep my hands off.

Lots of changes.

I originally bought this tank to be me 2nd tank, to go along with my 15g anemone cube. Almost immediately, though, it felt like I was splitting my time, energy, money and interest between the two. It didn’t take long to realize I don’t really want 2 tanks right now. So I ended up moving the Prime 16, the anemones, and the livestock all to the 25 lagoon.

Aquascape changed to better house the anemones - I now have one island with coral, and one dedicated to the anemones (who love to move!). My 15g cube has been handed over to my wife who is a plant guru, for her first attempt at a planted shrimp/guppy tank. Still needs more plants and some driftwood but the pic below shows she’s off to a great start!

Looking like there’s room for more

Minx Dont Tempt Me GIF by HBO Max

Getting flow right is one of the toughest. Did your nem settle? Hope mine don't jump their nem island!
It never settles. It has the heart of Lewis and Clarke!

I’m just going to have to live with it. I’m making it hard by adjusting lighting and flow too often.

Nice looking setup and coral selections!

Are you just using your phone to record those videos? Any filters or post-processing?

Hey, yes I just crank my whites way up and then use my phone. I use the imgplay app to turn them into gifs.

I am going to get the Polyp Lab lens kit soon, though.

Flow is a really fine line to walk with shrooms. You want to try and push as far as you can to maximize turnover through the tank but keep flow directly off the cap. They can take a ton of flow around them as long as it's not disrupting them I guess with the exception of a few. I try to use a lot of deflection around my tank to achieve that.
