Diatom filter for treating external parasites?

My wife eats gluten free and the bread is pretty bad. I like the flour though as it makes good muffins and pancakes.
I have been around way before forums and even computers so people trying to argue with me don't perturb me at all. I just look them in the eye and hit "delete".

Oh, no snow here please. It's a mess, a few flakes of snow hits the ground, they shut down the interstate, schools close (which kids are happy about, I know I was when I was a kid), it's bad cause no one knows how to drive on ice here. Lol
People just try to stay home if they can. They close bridges too.

Cono, I love good food, you are making me hungry. My Grand parents are all from a small fishing village in Sicily and I grew up on good food. Most of it had some kind of sea food in it as my parents owned a sea food market. I have been crabbing a lot lately in my spare time to get enough to make a great Thanksgiving Linguini and crab dish like we normally do. (of course we also have turkey) I only collected 6 crabs so far and need at least fifty more so I will get more tomorrow and a few times next week.
To keep this about this thread, a diatom filter will suck the crabs right out of this excellent sauce.

They had a computer class in my high school. I think you had to insert a punch card to get it to do a simple math problem. All of which makes me think back to the fact that my first tank was nearly 60 years ago. To tell the truth when people ask about starting a simple marine tank I'm hard pressed to not recommend an undergravel filter. Too many years of doing it without all the equipment many think is essential.

When people ask me how to start a salt water tank I normally change the subject or look the other way and say something like "Wow, Did you see that Supermodel, or it looks like it is going to snow tonight." I would not give advice on how to start a tank for a few reasons. The first one being no matter who you are, how smart you are, who is helping you etc. A new tank is going to have problems. Sometimes a lot of problems and those problems are normally normal things that happen in a tank, but I don't want some one calling me at 3:00am scared to death because they see a worm. The second reason I don't want to help someone start a tank is because I have no idea how to start a new tank because I would begin with a reverse UG filter and anyone who knows the person would laugh at him at least until it runs successfully for 25 or so years. By then, I will be dead. I added one page in my book on how "I" would start a new tank now if I had to use ASW and dry rock. It is scary and most people will not believe my methods, but what can I say?
