First time running a full set of tests. I don't have the coral testing stuff yet, so no idea on calc, mag, or any of that type of stuff. Results are below.

pH: 8.0-8.2
Phos: 0.05
Nitrate: 0
KH: 5

are you going to run this one and the 125g?

if so, i would do completely different things in one of them.

In this tank, i would have a TON of shrimp, macro algae, sea horses, pipefish, tiny goby/bleenies etc.

display macro algae refugium

Gonna run them both. the 125 will have SPS corals, and larger livestock, but I don't want a predator tank.

apparently wrasses can be rude to one another

Welp, the rubyhead appears to have died. I have never seen a fish kill another fish that was that much bigger, that quickly. That he's dead and in the acclimation box, and the solor wrasse is still going for him may result in me finding a new home for that one. Cest la vie......

Thanks! I'm ordering my doser and some 2 part I suppose today. I'm still not certain what I should be dosing. I need to bring up the kh of the water, and I'd like to get to where I can keep some LPS corals soon. Need more fish as well, as my fuge is totally nuking any nitrates, so it's working great. I haven't run my skimmer since I got the fuge going. Might repurpose that skimmer to the 125 build.

Well, as your fish and coral stock grows you'll eventually need to employ a skimmer. But, alas, you already know this...

(I cannot believe I just used the word "alas"! What is happening to me ??? ;Wacky )

Alas, such is life my friend.... we will see how the water reacts to an increase in livestock. It's not like the 125 is anywhere near ready for prime time. I'm in no rush at all. Thinking about a LA order today as well to get some more critters.

Quick update on my resident jackwrasses

Looking good!

I saw "jackwrasses" in your post and thought of a new one for wrassehole.

Wrasskehole; someone who keeps wrasses and doesn't know what they're doing so they ask for help... but then they do not listen!

I always thought wrasseholes were the fish themselves

Yes, you are correct with wrasseholes. However, I said, "wrasskehole." So a wrassehole could, in fact, be owned by a wrasskehole!
