amino acids are dilutable in rodi water, they have no chemical drifrences in salt or rodi (i belive)
bacteria and everything else will use amino acids for normal metabolic processes ...further more some amino acids are less stable then others and are affected by ph and light... so for best result and a better coral uptake i recomend you keep normal dosing ...unless the container specifically sais it can
Remember that when amino acids break up they can turn into amonia so yea caution is required

Old thread, but still comes up top on google for this topic, therefore sharing some new info:

Red Seas say no. "Apart from Reef Energy+, all supplements can be diluted." they have as little preservatives as possible, just enough for one week out of the fridge once opened.

Coral Essentials says at your own risk, dilute 1-2 weeks worth at a time.

Fauna Marin offer a product called Dilute It, which is water and preservatives, to be used when diluting their supplements (including Amin), to help preserve the diluted solution...

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I would not use a product that added preservatives for the purposes of diluting amino acids for dosing without knowing what it was and what effects it may have in the tank.
