I apologize for not being fully prepared with research before starting this tank,How do you expect you get a meaningful answer without more details?
Can you give us details about your system?
System age
System parameters especially no3 and po4...
System filtration
System dosing
If system is new did you start live rocks or dry rocks? Live sand or dry sand?
Have you looked at a sample under a microscope?
Do you have snails fatalities?
Does the algae appear during day and dissapear at night?
Is it on rocks only or sand and rocks?
Does it float in water column?
Does it.look snot like?
Now days there is this trend that every single algae is being called dino. If we to believe all these posts about dino you would think dino have invaded the united state aquarium industry lol. Treating dino will take your through a wonderland of home remedies and unsubstantiated claims. So let's at least confirm its dino for real before you start getting these wondrous remedies
I tried to answer your questions, maybe my reply didn't show upSo one last time, pictures do not mean much without details of the system
Diatom, cyano and dino all can look the same on a picture..
I googled it and the bubbles scared me.Ok from your details I am almost sure what you have is diatom.
Here is my advice,
Ignore and resist any treatment suggestions. This is diatom, normal 100%
Just be patient and wait for your system to mature it will pass.
+1 on diatoms. The sand is completely white and diatoms are part of the uglies of a new system. I’ve never had dinos but they look more hairy and appear more so on the surface. And given that tiny patch, I wouldn’t even worry a tiny bit about it.Ok from your details I am almost sure what you have is diatom.

In such early stage these bubbles are notmal.I googled it and the bubbles scared me.
I’m in LFS daily and have lots of friends in this hobby. We share pics and talk daily. Dinos have never shown up in any conversation, nor have I seen them in person. They are the result of a low nutrient system and I think people worry too much to be honest. Sometimes a diatom bloom or algae bloom has everyone running to the dinos scare. Not to point blame at anyone but perhaps we worry too much?Man now days every thing is dino. It's so scary how quickly trends move in is hobbies...
9 out of 10 systems that start with "omg I have dino" end up being not dino.
7 out of these posts will take the op through wonderland of strange treatment s and home remedies that just screq up the system and pretty much reset its biological filtration...(
It's your normal AIO tank with 2 filter socks and sponge filter media with water pulled through the chambers. In such early stage these bubbles are notmal.
Can you give me a picture of your filtration system please?
What's your water volume?
What temp you run the system at?
Agreed. Just let it run. Diatoms need silicate to grow. Silicates are in sand. As the diatoms eat up the silicate - which they need to grow - they’ll slowly die off. Some ppl go crazy trying to fix it but it’s natural. I like to give them enough light to complete their cycle naturally. Usually they’re gone after a few months or so.Sorry I do not personally know every system out there brother...
Anyway, just patience it's not dino.
The filter system is in the back of the tank, hopefully this picture helps.Sorry I do not personally know every system out there brother...that's why I ask so instead of researching your system details you tell me which is faster.
Anyway, just patience it's not dino.
