Hi all, trying to figure out if I’m experiencing the start of dino’s in my system. They don’t look like dinos under the scope however they appear like them with stringy snot and looks as if they disappear when the lights go off.

The photos are border line useful, but I will say there seems to be lots of diatoms. Search the Internet for images for the diatom Nitzschia. Here is one species I imagine you have. They can form snotty strings, but I don’t know about the night time disappearance though.
