Dirt Diggler's Reef-pi Build

Im testing these vs a black cheap(5 for 10 bucks) pvc insulated one that I got when these sold out. These are much more responsive, yet steadier in the readings. Must be the thermal conductive grease that the amazon description says the probes are filled with.
Interesting ...

Can you share some pictures of them?

Heres a temp probe comparison.

Cheap probes=28awg conductors, thin pvc insulation, shrink tube sealed probe, probe made from 304 stainless was .4 degrees F low compared to calibrated NTC thermistor, readings "jumpier", responds slower to temp change

Better probes=24awg conductors, thick silicone high temp insulation, shielded, double roll crimp sealed probe, probe polished 316 stainless, was within .1 F of the NTC thermistor, readings smoother, responds faster to temp changes.

Ah, I thought you have found a new type. The orange ones rock.

I'm sure I've asked this question before, but which direction did you all go with your doing pumps? What are the pro and cons of 5v vs 12v? I'm researching dosing 2 part right now to make sure I can meet the needs of the corals and inverts I plan on keeping, so I think I'll be good with 2 pumps, but does the pico board allow for a 3rd? Can a jebao be cracked open to work with reef-pi?

Also, there really ought to be a reef-pi badge for folks who built their own controller and another badge for the key devs. I can approach the site admins if you all are ok with that.

Cant really help on the dosing, im freshwater planted so dont need to mess with dosers, so i havent really looked into them and how to control.
