Hey everyone!
Quick discussion question: why is it that, even for healthy euphyllia, the tissue length around the branch seems to vary from tank to tank or coral to coral?
When I got my hammer from WWC, the tissue was nearly and inch down the branches, but after a bit of irritation from having to move its location, the tissue receded to maybe half an inch or a little less. The heads are very fluffy and happy during the day and no further recession has been noted. One head continues to split, which also shows it’s pretty happy. Additionally, I can get it to eat powdered foods! Perhaps the tissue will elongate again as it grows its skeleton.
