DIY 2 part, alk shelf life question

How long can i store diy alkalinity solution (randy's 2 part).... how about 1 or 2 years.

I found some remaining from my last tank..(mar 2019).... then i mixed that with new diy and seems ok..

Also what's the alk supposed to be in the solution directly when tested?..12 dkh?

I dont know but I've used some that was fairly old myself.
Try asking in the chemistry forum, RHF will likely answer this himself.

I'm not sure, but I mix mine in 7g water jugs. Each batch will last me a few years.

I asked Randy in another thread about shelf life. Here was his reply.

Two parts last forever.

An open high pH alk part will absorb CO2 and will give a lower pH effect, but the same alkalinity.
