I bought a couple of these and some blade mounting clips to try out as soon as they get delivered. Might be worth a shot for some people if it works.

I just ordered a similar one which should be here tomorrow, along with 2 Blades (21”). I’m hoping the included clips hold the lights as the clips are just a hair bigger…otherwise I’ll use zip ties to hold them in place until I can get the actual Blade clips.

I am sure some customer emailing them constantly will speed the boat up from China to get mounts here quicker

:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Now that you point that out it makes sense. The lights are made in USA so they were here ready to go and hardware is sitting in a shipping container somewhere in the pacific.

All the stuff I ordered got delivered today. Doesn't look too bad. Used the hardware from the Orbit brackets to attach the blade mounting clips.

Just came to check this to see how it went. Glad to see the acrylic Blade clips work on these bars. I’m going to order them and another bar.

I wouldn't moonlight with high powered leds. Even on their lowest setting you'll be growing stuff all night.
Grab something without power to add or a normal light above/beside the tank for light at night.

The orphek Aura arms + extrusions works well. I can angle the light and the arms are on the sides of the aquarium. I don't know if this would work so well on the longer AI Blades but you could just buy the clips and attach the clips to the extrusion instead of using the m8 threaded ends.

I might cut the screw part off on the inside of the acrylic arms/aquarium so it just rests on the edge. It would be a bit risky.. it could get knocked off.

I think the current arm option is a bit sleeker looking but this one gives you total freedom for positioning/angle and mounts on the sides of the aquarium.

If you want to try this I can send you the cart I purchased from Tnutz.

thanks for posting this. im in the same situation running a G5 blue and I balance the AI blade on the rms mount . not the best option ..

Thanks, Funny how they are in stock right after I built mine!!!
The orphek arm adaptation I made is much better in the end.
I cut the clamps off it so it just rests on the edge now. It is convenient.
I can also adjust the height/angle now too.
