hey i have a calcium reactor that i made myself and i wanted to add a ph probe and controller. i cant figure out or find something that i can hold the ph probe thats water tight. any ideas ?
Look in the electrical section at HD or Lowes. tye make a grey PV thread by compression fitting that screws in to the lid of a calcium reactor and has a compression end that the probe slips in to and tightens up so it is liquid tight.
I prefer to do it the simple way and use a Lee's Specimen Container like they use at the LFS for catching and bagging fish. I hang it on the side of the sump and drip the reactor effluent into it and suspend the probe over it, then it overflows into the sump. That way I can use the pH probe to test the tank water too not just the reactor.
