DIY Filter Socks

    Some socks are rated at different microns for filtration. What rating do you think that fabric from Jo Ann's would be at?

    I don't know but the material is softer and thinner then the standard socks that are for sale.....I change 2 every 4 days which comes out to under $1 a week.....one of the best things I've done.....

    These socks are awesome! I've washed mine once already and they are working great!

    For a ring I used RO tubing and a 1" piece of larger silicone tubing to connect them. [​IMG]

    Probably 200 micron. It's what I use, they don't clog as fast as felt.

    I just purchased new felt and the label doesn't say flammable anymore....anyone know if they started adding some kind of FR additives?

    I hope not considering I just bought, made, and am using those socks. I wondered the same thing when the "flammable" was gone but ignored it since the numbers matched.

    I bought it at Joann's it was about 5.00 a yard. I have a picture of the info on the end if you need it.
