I just got a Jebao DMP 10, set it up and immediately notice it rattles. I did a quick search and saw that rotating the wet side can help “align” the magnets. Did that real quick and helped a little but it’s still there.

My questions is: the propeller can slide up and down inside the housing. Is that normal?

Thank you!

When I got mine the "cage" for the wet side wasn't inserted firmly which made a bunch of racket and it wouldn't spin right when I tried to start it. I pushed pretty hard and it clicked in to the slot that it was supposed to be in, and it was fine after that.

I've seen a few post lately with dry side bearings noisy on these. One was brand new. A video of the noise may help determine the cause.
As far as the prop moving up and down my MP40s and 10s all do that.
The dry side is quiet. It’s definitely the wet side.

I’m going to try this. It does seem to not be tight together.

Regardless, I think this pump (DMP10) is too strong for my 32g AIO anyways. So probably going to go in another direction. Unless I can get it to be quiet and soften the flow. Two tall orders it seems.
