Doesn't matter if I let them or not. If my hands are in the tank they want to be on me cleaning. I flick them when they get too close to my nails because that just irritates me. I own cuticle scissors, I don't need them eating them off.

We use a diver to clean our reef exhibit. One day I saw some visitors pointing and laughing at the diver - the Scarlet cleaner shrimp was cleaning his
backside……
