I know best and good practice is quarantine everything before adding to display tank, but we all don't do this, so...

best practice is to QT everything you buy. depending on if you're able to($$$, space, or other factors), you can also buy from reputable vendors.

i buy from reputable vendors and then dip after acclimating then place in tank at low light/flow and work it up as the days/weeks progress until i find its final spot.
