I have 3 Wyze cameras watching the tank one similar to yours looking at the entire tank, one in the sump, and one mounted on the side with an avid aqua holder that monitors my plank auto feeder so I can make everybody is getting fed while I am away

I have had good luck with the reolink Zoom and i purchased some orange film off amazon and taped it over the lense. Another nice thing about the reolink is it alows RSTP streams so you can use it in OBS for Youtube streaming etc.

Yeah I need one!!! I like this!!

I also have a cheap Blink. The pic is not the best but it does give me that peace of mind, especially when we are out of town. I have it on an end table beside the tank and I can see flow on the surface and water level height to know that basic life supports are in place.

Since my tank is set up in my work office, the cam is a great way to check in and see everything is okay. It even helped me trouble shoot and explain what to do with what to a coworker who was taking care of the tank while I was out. She held up a part and I could tell her which button to push.
Great tool to have.

I use 1 Logitech MX Brio USB camera for my 24/7 YT stream (private at the moment), 1-2 Wyze Pan v4 cameras and 3-4 Reolink E1 Zoom cameras (sometimes placed on my QT instead) to keep an eye on all sides of my tank and sump. I also use a separate IR light to illuminate the tank at night.

That said, they all have their own issues. Newer Wyze can't do RTSP, Reolink SD card recording is pretty bad when trying to replay footage remotely so I switched to recording to my own HDD, and the USB camera has great quality but is only useful during the day.

A mini sub drone with camera would be cool to have cruize around the tank. Tunze, are you hearing this?
LOVE IT! We can do fish jousting tournaments!

Your link doesn't go to the tape. Do you have more information?

I have a total of 13 tanks, and yes I rely on camera's on a lot of them, everything from Display view to sump view, most are the Wyze pan camera's but some are the Swann single view. Have I found a benefit yes, I had an issue awhile ago when I was away, I had a electric circuit pop and cut out my return pumps. I noticed on my camera that the display was drained down about 1/4 of the way, this was when I was about 30 minutes from home. Was able to rush home to find a small amount of water on the floor from sump overflowing and figured out to reset the circuit breaker and got thing back running....the view on the camera told me something was wrong and saved the day. Couple of pictures

Not yet but I want to. I love the idea of having camera views of the sump, too. Thanks everyone who has for sharing their cool setups
They are well worth having! I would definitely get one for a sump if I had a sump, haha.
