If the 2.2 maxi stand alone utilizes it’s own port for level sensors once set as a slave to the P4 will that level sensor still work and be able to dictate how a pump will dose ??

Hello,

No, SA in EXT (slave) mode become a true EXT without level and temperature ports.

How many level sensors do you use with your p4? With two dividers - a P4 can use 4 sensors and you can always use an extension card to add 4 more sensors. These senors can be used for regulation of the slave pumps you have connected to the P4. I use a Maxi 2.2 slave for my top off. I have switch socket to react on the sensor in level 1 function.

My dose program 21 is a Maxi 2.2 slave head and react on switch 5. When you use a Maxi 2.2 as top off pump you do not even need a physical switch - you can use a "virtual" (a switch channel without a physical socket)

Technically, a Doser SA in EXT (slave) mode is presented on the PAB bus as a real Doser EXT (slave).
A new device would have to be virtually created, an EXT Doser with temperature and level ports.
This would require a lot of work on firmware and software.

Wait. So where do you set up a virtual switch channel or do you just pick one you’ll never use…like switch channel 50 or something ? I assume the virtual switch channel turns on when a float switch triggers it, subsequently telling the maxi 2.2 pump to turn on until the float switch is no longer in “error” mode. Is that correct ??

Just set up the switch channel to be triggered by the float switch and have the switch channel trigger the maxi 2.2 ?

And the switch channel not need to be a physical switch - you can use S62 if you want

Also what tubing can you use with the 2.2. I can’t get regular 1/4” rodi line to go in the fittings to save my life! Lol.
