In theory yes but I think my overflow has more waterflow, or at least water turbulence as I don't have a ball valve on that line so water falls down, full speed...if that makes sense?
With all that water turbulence, I think the dose would mix better?
I will agree that there is likely more turbulence. Either way I think you're over thinking this anyway. Leaving it where you have it should be fine.

I also have my pH probe in the return chamber but I can always move that to skimmer chamber
Careful with moving pH probe to skimmer chamber. Don’t want micro bubbles from skimmer messing up your readings.

ah, that’s what I was afraid of so I put in return chamber where the water is “calmest”

will leave that there and just move dose to overflow. Thank you!

I dose right beside my probes, which does give me a somewhat "fuzzy" line on my pH chart on my apex.

Hijacking a little this thread .
is there a difference if the dosing pump is above the bottles with chemicals or bellow them ? in terms of gravity affecting the flow or syphon action? if the bottle is above the pump, will it still drip a little even if the pump is not active , any chance of that ?

It will when the squeeze tubes get old and flatten out.

I place my discharge tubing up front where I can access it easily to measure chemical when I need to.
