Dosing MB7....Is carbon needed?

Is it absolutely neccessary to dose carbon with MB7? And should it be dose via instructions on bottle?

Not really necessary but it helps... Mb7 is really just a nitrifying bacteria and carbon is a food source to help it multiply more rapidly... You don't have to dose vodka or bio fuel etc but it helps.... As for the dosage yup just follow the instructions on the bottle for the first 2 weeks then find your maintenance dose....
