hi.. i'm targeting no3 of 10ppm and po4 of .02.. its been this way for a few months. i do dose n03 every day to keep it at these levels. I am dosing 20mL of neonitro per day..

i have a bad GHA problem.. i know alot of reffers who keep no3 at 10-15ppm and dont have algae.. what is the best way to keep this numbers with no aglae issues?

Do you use Chateo?

Can you tell us about your system?

How long has it been running?

What kind of rock are you using?

What corals are you keeping?

I would add Chateo too and see if it makes a difference:) How long do your lights stay on in your display?

i tried chaeto it just melted for some reason it wouldn't grow... i do have a chaeto reactor and chaeto would not grow for me.. i may give it another try

I’d stop dosing no3 till you get the gha under control.
Need better cuc imo.
You’re basically just feeding the gha.

see the problem is my acros hate when my n03 comes down below 5ppm. so i gotta keep it up.. what i was thinking of doing was using reef flux to kill all the GHA and then turn my scrubber back on to regulate it...

also i have a massive CUC and they dont touch the stuff.. if i use reff flux and then ride everything of algy and then kick on the scrubber hopefully whatever comes back will just come into the scrubber

Are you sure it is gha and not bryopsis. Your cuc and herbivorous fish should be working on the gha, if you say they won’t touch it then it may be bryopsis which most wont touch. If that is the case flucanazole is a good option

Cuc wont touch it.. reef flux I'm gonna do
I tried fluco and it definitely removed all the GHA and bryopsis. But then came the dinos lol im thinking of getting a sea hare for the GHA until i can get the refugium ready. Do you run a refugium?
