Well with my 150 just hitting the one year mark, I am debating on downgrading my system, back to a 120 ... but I want to go with a really slick tank. A friend of mine has an awesome Elos 120XL which I have absolutely fallen in love with. I am even considering getting a 120G rimless tank ... just something that looks really sweet (starphire of course).

I am not too fond of the dimensions of the 150 ... it's a tall tank, that makes working in it quite difficult. 18" depth is not the best for reef building either ... at least in my opinion. I just want to redo everything on a new tank ... sump ... plumbing ... etc.etc.

What would you do if you were in my position?

I agree I had a 90 gallon tank for a few years and 18" depth sucks for a reef tank. I recently upgraded to a 210 and I love how much room I have now. A 120 is a great size and I would way rather have that than a 150. If I were in your position though I would go for a 180 that's a no brainer ;)

I am having a 36"x36"x24" rimless 135g being made now with an external overflow. Do that! HA!

Hahaha! That's an awesome build!!! I am getting a price quote on a custom 48x30x20 ... Just like the ToTM. :)

You missed the best one. 270 72"L X 36"W X 24"H
24" is the highest I will go on a tank again. Hate reaching down so far.

Very true! I regret having a 30" deep tank ... plus the canopy on top of it ... I need the goggles to get anything out of the tank!

It must suck to have short arms lol. I have to reach the same amount that I did in my 90 gallon because on the 90 my canopy only opened on the top and on my 210 the canopy opens from the front.

LOL!!! :xd:

Plus I want to go with LED's over the next tank ... just been really curious as to trying them ... AND ... I just got my hands on a Reefkoi 120W fixture to try out from a friend. :) I replaced one of my 250W MH pendant with an Ushio 20K bulb ... Looks exactly the same! SOOOOO COOL!
