Why dosent anyone in a midlife crisis ever consider a Rolls Royce Ghost or somthing? lol, I don't like the look of ferrari's at all, we have a friend who has a ferrari and a dodge viper, and neither of them are to my likings, I like a car that says "Im classical" and the Rolls Royce is all about that! That is my dream car and I really hope that one day I'll be able to afford a Rolls Royce Ghost, or a Bentely Continental.

Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible isr...... its the fastest car in the world...... on ICE :)

No fans of Godzilla? The Nissan GTR. May not have to super car brand name, but every bit as impressive. Only 8 techs in the world(all in Japan) that build those motors. Each one builds a motor themselves one at a time, and when they are finished they sign it. The motor is their work of art.

I've been lucky enough to drive about a half dozen supercars or close to supercars... I got to drive a 355 through the Maconnais. Even though I'll drive faster and more fun cars (my current car could probably give it a serious run), I doubt I'll ever have an overall car experience that can compare.

Your friend would probably really appreciate a 911 Turbo (nobody in their right mind wouldn't) if he likes his german cars.

I drove an 2007 Elise for just over 2 years, definitely a fun little car. Once you get it past 6200rpm, and the second cam kicks in, that's when it starts to scream and the real fun begins. Great on gas too, lol, but the ride is pretty rough if you are not used to the stiffness. Corners on a dime though...

We looked at rolls Royce and Bentley. My friend felt that was for a different kind of rich. Also his wife is totally against this. Shes furious in fact. They have a 1 year old and she thinks this is stupid. But she drives a range rover sport and an amg two door convertible. So I don't see the difference. We will be going back to the Porsche dealership Monday to drive the four door Porsche. But they also have a Maserati that I want him to try. Aston Martin as well. I'm not giving up. I do a lot of work for these people and they treat me and my family very well. So I can't push to hard. But I am the one that meets the "car wash guy" at their houses so I usually have to drive them around so he can get to them. So I want a sweet car to play with.

Maybe he will buy you a car for helping him choose

You never know. They bought their nanny a car (Hyundai genesis) and last year bought my wife and I new iPhones. They also let us use their beach house any time for free. So don't think I haven't thought that. But letting me be a part of this and the respect they show me is enough.

The 458 Italia is BY FAR my favorite car of all time, Just so you know the Lambo is kinda of an animal to drive, it's a big wide car and if you are not careful with it it WILL try and kill you, I have driven just about all of the high end exoctics and while as a kid lambo's were always a dream of mine once I got older and started driving the cars my love of lambo's just went away

I had the joy of working at a custom audio shop down here in S Florida and we had a deal with the auto toy store so I would go to the shop and pick up one of the exotics and take it back to the shop to put a nice stereo in it, then I would cruise the beach and bring it back to the shop

I just felt the 458 Italia was the most refined of all of them, nice tight suspension ZERO body roll, great feel about it in general...The ONLY thing I didnt really care for was the steering wheel, I just didnt like that EVERYTHING is on it "wipers, blinkers, starter button, horn etc etc" I didnt like taht when you turn the wheel your left blinker ends up on the right hand side and vice versa, I also didnt like that you could only either look at the speedo OR the gps, so you either know where you are OR how fast you are going but NOT BOTH LOL

Thats because its kinda useless, honestly what good is a "supercar" like that that has a glass transmission?

I mean its really silly that they have a black box and you can only have like 6-8 HARD launches before the tranny needs to be rebuilt at a cost of 20K, and nissan wont warranty it if they see that you launched the car

I know I am right on this because I have worked on a number of them and also have 3 different friends that bought them when they first came out, 2 of them have already had the tranny replaced at there own expense...Just not worth it if you ask me, yeah its a cool looking car but its got to many flaws

Not to mention since each engine is infact handbuilt just like you said, you cant just order say a new piston if you need it or other parts, hell sometimes the new tranny doesnt line up to the old engine since it's all hand built

The elise IS a nice car but it is NOT a supercar by ANY stretch of the imagination...It's got a honda motor in it, what about a honda motor says "supercar" NOTHING...
Its a GREAT track car and a GREAT daily driver but it's definitely NOT a supercar

my friend has a jag Xk supercharged and I like it. if i was to get a very nice car within the price range of about 80,000 to 140,000 i would either get a jag Xk or a 69 mustang gt500 fully restored with chrome or mach 1

The 458 is the best money can buy right now for a all around driving car both street and track on another note the Audi R8 is another excellent choice

Don't think dc4 ever said it was a super car.

FWIW, it's a Toyota engine, not a Honda.. ;) (Unless it's a Sun car, which doesn't count)

Oh plus as far as I know Ferrari finally fixed the wheel well glue issue causing all those ferarri's to randomly catch fire and burn to the ground LOL, Id be so upset if my new ferarri caught fire like that

I guess at sustained high speed the glue in the wheel well heated up which was what caused it, it happened to a fairly large number of them to from what I remember

I think if I had unending money I'd have to go with the Bugatti Veyron. Note I said unending money :D
