DSA Neo 105 rimless build

I will post some pictures this weekend for sure. Was sick with the flu for a few days and the build came to a grinding hault.

Hey SkimHeavy, just finally posted the thread on my tank. It's under "SnapCrackleD's new 105 rimless". How's everything going on your tank? I just finally filled it up all the way tonight.

Not too much has changed. I'll post a couple pics this afternoon. The tank is drilled and the overflow in kinda installed but the bulkheads haven't been tightened down yet.

Oh, I guess I did cut the baffle for my sump.....

I wanted everything contained under the stand. NOTHING outside or next to it. (kinda kills the idea of a calcium reactor). I have the 40b as the sump, but needed an additional storage space for my top off water tank. A 10g didn't fit, but I was able to cram a 5.5g in there.

As you can see, there is just enough room to tuck my DC pump in and still run it externally. YAY!

I could have gone with a plastic tank and gone taller, but I am kinda weird about something's, and unmatching sumps is one of those things.

Just for fun I thought I would do my aquascaping today. I'm a ways away from seawater but I wanted to see the rock in the tank.

My current sandbed is 2 large bath mats......

Thanks for all the compliments everyone.

This thing is getting water soon. On March 15th I am ordering sand, salt, skimmer, lighting, a new RODI, refractometer, return pump and plumbing parts.

I will continue assembly as things arrive. Hopefully the following weekend!

Really? That's awesome! The Neo 105 club! Make sure to start a build thread too. I'll post pics as soon as things start coming in the mail for sure. I'm kinda at a stand still until then.

Yeah! More people with our tanks. :) When I got mine I tried googling to get an idea about it but didn't find much on the Neo tanks.
