Decided to remove the biopellets to simplify the tank and started using NOPOX. It's nice to not have to worry about a reactor and pump. With the little one on the way were trying to think ahead and it seems logical and simpler. Also, bought a snowflake maroon clown to pair up with my wife's lightning maroon. Never saw a snowflake maroon until today and so far so good.

Here's a pic of our tiny little aptasia eater. He's so small next to the trachyphyllia. Lol

Everything is looking good my friend! How's that little asterina eater doing?
Thank you! The harlequin just about wiped out every asterina in the tank. Just got him his first chocolate chip starfish. That shrimp is no joking when it came to hunting that starfish. It amazes me to see how strong he is as he flipped the starfish right over.

Just Finished Reading through the Thread, Congratulation for the little reefer boy coming on with way. I Have 3 kids 2 boys 8 and 5 years and the baby girl who is turning 1 year old next month.
Also Congrats on the clowns they beautiful. Really Nice tanks and thanks for sharing all of your tank ups and downs.

Regrading the salt mix, both of Blue and black buckets didn't have the parameters I like, either too low or too high. What I do now it mixing both together at 1:1 ratio, and me and my corals are very happy with the results.

Thanks for stopping by @fabutahoun, appreciate the kind words. Our toddler has been learning coral names now, it's nice to see children take interest in the tank. I try to share the good and the bad when it comes to reefing in hopes it will help another along the way. This tank has been an adventure and we don't see it coming to an end any time soon:D

Well pairing the Lighting went well, I am actually pretty surprised. They look wonderful in the BTA. :D
I was surprised as well. @Lovemyreef2015 gets the credit for that work! It took a few days for her to "accept" the little guy.

The clown took to the anemone so that's a plus. The 75 seems to be doing well and colors are slowly coming back. Here's a pic of our tiny little aptasia eater. He's so small next to the trachyphyllia. Lol

Nice anemone and clowns there @DSC reef

I really need to get one but I’m just worried when/if it goes ‘walk about’. The last one had to be removed, it was called the coral killer!

We got that one as a baby last year at reefapalooza. Put it in the reef and it split in a day. Planted itself right under the bonsai colony. My wife removed it and there both in her nano. I've seen the devastation they can cause and we didn't want to risk it. There's nothing like watching a clownfish in there anemone though.
