Hey all. I recently added a few frags to my newly cycled nano tank. They all opened up about an hour after the drop acclimation and placement. The Duncan frag with 2 heads and a little tiny one growing out of the side doesnt seem to be opening fully. The largest polyp opens on one half almost fully while the other half stays small. I have moved it to a lower flow area and it's in the lower third of the tank. It opens the same way every day. Not sure if it got stung by something at the lfs, or if this is a common issue. Since I am new to this again I may be worrying too much. Any thoughts on this?

No dumb questions here. My duncan is really finicky. I have never figured out why some days it will be fully and happy and the next small and stubby. Im sure someone on here can offer more insight though

Thanks for the advise. I will move him up and closer to the current if he doesnt fully open in the next couple of days. I just fed him some brine shrimp that I was feeding to my lonely fish. Hopefully its happier tomorrow.

Brine shrimp has next to no nutritional value, try mysis. Pe or hakari

I am using the San fransisco bay brands. Thumbs up or down?

Down. My corals almost all died when I used that brand once.

If they sell it at petco, it most likely doesent belong in a reef tank.

Mine sit under halides and get the same par as I keep sps in. The video shows the flow. Just turn down volume.
Mine will close up if a fish bites them.

I was getting a little less movement than that where I had it. I will move it back into the current tomorrow. Thanks. They look awesome btw
