Dust in the water???

I have this dust like stuff on top of the water in my DT and now it's mixing in the water :ooh:

Has anyone ever run into this?

Do you have good aeration/surface turbulece? Have You used/ done any work or sprayed something in the house?

Yup no problems with aeration and no spraying around. I wouldn't think that much dust is in the air and my fans from my ATI is pulling it in the tank??? Could it be ???
 
I've seen it before and it is usually nothing to worry about.

You see it more on non-drilled tanks and tanks with little surface turbulence.
 
ive seen it when I mix salt sometimes. what are your params? is you have a lot of white stuff on your pumps you may be precipitating which isn't good

That's normal. You just don't have any surface agitation. Every tank will get that. That's why I point my powerheads so they break the surface of the water and cause some turbulence.

I get it in a couple area dead spots in my tank.
