I just purchased my royal gramma a week ago, and it seemed to be doing fine (swimming around, eating, great color).
This morning I woke up and didn’t see my fish swimming around as usual. The whole day went by until tonight when I found the fish hiding under a rock looking very sick. The scales are losing color (especially in the middle) and the fish is breathing very heavily, just kind of laying at the bottom in the sand. I have a feeling he won’t survive the night and I’m not sure what is wrong. My water parameters are perfect. (I have two healthy clownish, a sea cucumber, and some coral frags).

I would start with a small water change and also take a sample to a Trusted LFS for a water test to verify numbers and compare to your test.
What is age of your tank and what test kits are you using?
