Hey guys, just started dosing the 1500ml bag of Easysps a few days ago and I have a question. Since I hooked it up to a doser (Versa) I see that there is product left over in the line as the doser needs it for priming purposes. Obviously the longer the tubing, the more product is in the line at all times. Will there be a problem with having the gel in the line for 24-48 hrs? Does it matter if the tubing is long (5-6 ft) ?

Mine is set up in a different cabinet next to my system and runs into the sump from there. I'd say its about a 4-5 ft line and I have seen no issues with what remains in the line.

I don't actually have a lot of sps, but I use it & easybooster for my other corals and my nps. I see a much better response with my nps using this vs reefroids or many of the other powder supplements (or even the red sea ab+) - plus it doesn't spike phosphates the same way. I didn't think it was making much of a difference until I ran out and forgot to repurchase in time so I switched over to some other options I still had on hand. I definitely noticed a decline without it.

Mine is in the closet behind my tank and runs about 4' or more with no issues at all. Also, with my current dosing, it should last about 300 days, give or take. Never have it a second thought about not lasting or going bad.

No change here. How much are you dosing? What size tank and bio load? CO2 scrubber? Windows closed?

@minus9 You may have mentioned, but are you using the EasySPS in conjunction with EasyBooster? If I dose the recommended amount, then mine will last about 1 year (1500ml bag of EasySPS!). Seems great if I can just hook it up to a doser line and let it go.

My ph is unaffected by this, likely to be another cause. I don’t see how this food would impact ph.

Yes, I dose both. They're (1500mL bags) hooked up to my GHL Doser 2. I'm currently dosing 6mL each throughout the day, essentially every 6hrs. EasyBooster is dosed at 6am/pm & 12am/pm and Evo is dosed 7am/pm & 1am/pm, 1.5ml each time. Tank is 90g with 100g total with sump.

This may be a dumb question... but I am curious about trying this product out to help out my acro's. If I hook this to a doser, can it be be dosed into the return section of my sump? Or does it need to be directly dosed in front of a powerhead in the DT?

No change here. How much are you dosing? What size tank and bio load? CO2 scrubber? Windows closed?

I am running total 60 gallon. Medium bioload. I just replenished my CO2 scrubber. Before dosing 6ml of SPS Evo my pH was between 8.2 to 8.4.
Now it is running 8.1 to 8.2...

I was wondering if the SPS EVO has any biofilm that may impede the performance of my skimmer?

My tank is in my office, do closed windows, but environment have not changed.

My PO4 is stable at 0.07 while dosing 6ml SpS Evo for last 10 days... I might trying lowering amount if pH remains low after a few more days to see if I am overdosing SPS Evo.

Long overdue for an update but it has been 30 days since I started dosing. I was out of town for a few weeks so I only dosed 3ml per day in my system which is about 220 total gallons Of actual water. I did not see any results that I could speak of during the first 3 weeks of dosing most likely because I was dosing such a low amount. I have upped the dose to 6ml per day for now and feel that I am starting to see better PE and faster growth in the last week since I upped the dose. I will soon be upping the dose again so I hope to see more results.
