That would be coralcare knockoffs. So disappointed. Came here fully expecting a plug for the Neptune SKY...
Absolutely agree with the pricing. Marketing and bandwagoning has made ecotech rich!I'd try one out. The retail price is what a xr30 should be. The mark-up is nuts on their products. That's what happens when you get all your stuff made in China. Maybe ecotech should wait for knockoff app and copy it? It's gotta be better than mobius
The g5's aren' t " sold as made in the US".Absolutely agree with the pricing. Marketing and bandwagoning has made ecotech rich!
It's even funnier that the price of the xr30 c awwontinues to increase, and now these hit the market.
These lead me to believe that the g5 are really being produced over seas in Chinese factories, and sold as being made here.
No I do not have any. Based this comment off what some radion fan boys have claimed as a bragging point. I am sure you have seen as many post by radion users as I have talking about how they won't buy any Chinese made light because of politics and then say how radions are made in the u.S.The g5's aren' t " sold as made in the US".
If you have any company written proof saying this then THAT would be am isdue.
I dont know why my response didn't post, but I'll say it again. That post was based off the radion fan boys who post about how they would never buy Chinese products due to political reasons. And say that radions are U.S. built products. So that is where my post is based from. The g5's aren' t " sold as made in the US".

Absolutely. The reefbreeders in that link are the same ones sold under the reefbreeders name. They are all produced by evergrow, and Logan gets a batch relabeled as reefbreeders instead of ever grow. Most of these types of products are made by a handful of Chinese companies. Then they are resold by "trading companies". No magic here. FYI, almost all of the popular advertised glass aquariums are made by the same Chinese company. Lights also. Our company purchases several components from Chinese companies including our own lighting. Yes, going direct can save you a lot. But beware the "China surprise". Getting something other than what was expected. Unlike Walmart, returns are not possible. For those of you who want to go down the rabbit hole, below is a trusted source for high quality lightjng. Do so with eyes open. You can PM me for other trusted sources for other components such as skimmers pumps etc. But I think you are better off supporting your local sources. Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised or burned to a crisp.

That warranty does nothing for the supposedly Chinese light fire risk though.Reefbreeders also warranties the lights themselves, so they mark them up some. A small price to pay for having a longer warranty, supported by an American company.
How are they thieves?? Please explainYes, let's continue to support companies that provide absolutely nothing to the hobby. No innovation. No R&D. Very little, if any, support when you need it.
Rewarding thieves isn't on the top of my list personally. Just go get the Viparspectra Black Box and be done if you want "budget conscious" lights
and I know there are some virulent complaints about EcoTech CS, but I have had nothing but great success with them if you are careful and document everythingLol still a lot of money for a gamble. 500-600 per unit.
