Edible algae

Does anyone here grow algae in their tank that they also eat?

Following this one cause if there is a sort I'd be interested in giving it a try in growing and eating.

I can honestly say I don't want to willingly eat anything from any of my tanks. :P

If u eat sushi where u Think the nori comes from lol. Id say it all depends on if u use any chemicals or not but u could certainly grow sea weed in a tank and eat it as long as its rinsed very well just like farms that grow the stuff and fish for human consumption. I would definately do a lot if research on how farms do all that before eating it tho. But could be done yes.

Nori does not commonly come from aquacultured tanks. It is harvested naturally or grown on nets in seawater and harvested regulary. I would never recommend eating anything out of a tank from your home that hasn't been approved by FDA for sanitary purposes. gmoney243 you don't want to deal with that civil suit when motormuffin actually eats something from there tank and gets ill because you said it was possible.

Rofl u cant sue me because i said its safe to eat unless i was selling it. But yea like i said i would def do research that includes fda regulations. u may be right about nori but farms grow fish we eat. Same as eating lobstrr out of those tanks u see in groceries and restaraunts.

Also i never said it was safe to eat stuff out of his fish tank. Just possible if u knew what u are doing and did your research.
