Noticed a lot of members use Egg Crates in their sumps for separation, just wondering where you guys are buying them.

Located in Alberta, Canada if I could purchase somewhere local but online works as well.

The only place I found was HomeDepot and a somewhat medium piece was close to $20, thought that was a bit pricey.

Or if you have a similar alternative?

Thank you

I don't know why but eggcrate is just expensive just about anywhere it's carried. I ended up going with brs since they had them in black.

They are just expensive. That's about where people buy from. Unless you find a commercial electrical supply up there.

Basically what everyone above said -- any home improvement store should sell it.

Here is a similar thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/where-to-buy-eggcrate.98495/ @beaslbob had some good information on here.

if you go to home improvement/hardware stores and ask for egg crate they look at you funny.

What it actually is called is lighting diffusers for use in dropped ceilings. Which means it diffuses the lights. LOL.

Some to have it in the lighting section but most definately have it in the ceiling tile section.

Thanks for the responses, yeah I guess I was just assuming cause they were widely used that the price wasn't that bad.
A bit too much for how much I plan on using.
