I think I know the answer to this question .
When a coral goes bleach white and ejected it's zooxanthelae . What are the chances of the coral looking like it originally was ?
I wanna say no . How long does it usually take to on a new relationship for color ?

Thanks

I wonder how this works out with named corals or lineaged corals ..

EG : U get a bleached out white Tyree Purple Monster .. what is it now ?

A dud , 86 bin coral hmmm

One did but it was that way when I got it . It's still alive . Polyps r slam out . I moved it half way up in the water column.
Skin is healthy but no color .. It's been almost a month . If it does good ,we will see what color it becomes . I see a slight neon green hue on the polyps now .

There was some experimentation with taking the Zooxanthellae from one anemone and actually feeding it to another anemone, someone even injected I believe.

If you google transferring zooxanthellae in anemones, you'll find some really interesting stuff, if you like that kind of thing.

And this will tell you how to transfer zooxanthellae.

Good stuff.
